Car won't start, Security light flashing..
First before I say anything. I have an 87' Iroc and a GM anti-theft box under the dash with a GM keypad going to it.. The keypad has a light on it that says security. (to which I do not know the correct passcode, bought the car used and the seller didn't know it either). Normally this light was never on.
Now out of no where I go to start my car and it doesn't start.. the keypads security light just flashes at me. I pulled the positive off the battery to try to restart the computer and it just continues to flash when I hook the battery back up.
For a temporary fix i wired a switch directly up to the starter running off the 12V+ battery. Starts just fine like this, so it seems like when I turn the key it isn't getting any voltage to the starter. Now if anyone knows how I could bypass this thing completely that'd be great?
