Wiring into cabin
I was reading the sticky's about running wire and it was suggested to drill a hole to run new wiring instead of using the door jamb mess. The PO of my 85 Z obviously did not read this. I'd like to rewire the mess thru the firewall and under the dash. I'd like to add another fuse panel for accesories. Can anyone suggest the best (Easiest) place to add an access to the cabin? Or direct me to a thread that deals with this? Thanks I really appreciate your input.

Re: Wiring into cabin
depends on what you're looking to hook up and where your battery is. on the vehicles with the passenger side battery, i always preferred to drill next to the antenna grommet behind the kickpanel. never owned a 3rd gen with a driver side battery, but i hear there are a couple good spots already there waiting for you near the pedals if you pull up the carpet.

Re: Wiring into cabin
Passenger side kick panel by the antenna grommet! Thanks. I want to run constant power for some things that no longer have wires due to PO. Door locks, rear hatch release, HEADLIGHTS!!! (might need them at some point), etc. Thanks for the info. I hate just tearing stuff apart when there is so much expertise out there that can narrow the window. Thanks again.
