1984 Camaro Berlinetta electrical nightmare.

1984 Camaro Berlinetta electrical nightmare.
Hi,
I recently bought a 1984 Camaro Berlinetta V-8 305, as I'm sure you all know the parts such as the Light Module and ECM are hard to find. Personally I appreciate the unique characteristics this car has. But I bought it as a complete project only plus on it currently is it runs which for me seemed like a steal. Turning signals are out, I have to unplug the battery due to head lights staying on while not running. No buttons function on the Light Module, but I noticed if I rotate the dim/brighten **** on the side the speedometer will be visible. However, hazard lights flash constant and eventually the speedometer turns off. Also the gauges as far as oil pressure, fuel, etc... are all pinned either over max, or pinned over low with no movement. It's my first attempt at restoration and I'm pretty overwhelmed. But dedicated none the less. I've read constantly through here on the same variety of issues. Seen no posts about fixing it, or any success stories afterword. So I'm pretty worried about it. Sent an email to the only website selling light modules way up in Rhode Island. Any suggestions or tales of defeating this wild issue would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: 1984 Camaro Berlinetta electrical nightmare.
I know this thread is a little old but I'm hoping someone will see this. I also started having the same problems and talked to the same guy in RI, but he just sold the last light module. Does anyone know where else I could look to find one? Or if the light module isn't the problem then could someone help with what may be the problem. The guy from RI said its most likely that. TYIA.
