AC delete box issue - not working
Im having a issue with the AC delete box I have as I pulled it from my 85 Camaro when I parted it out as it was too far gone to save anymore. I ended up swaping all the HVAC stuff to my 89 IROC and its put in exactly as the 85 but isnt working.
I noticed the harness doesnt have a ground wire on it. Maybe thats the issue? I dont remember there being one before tho
Its getting power to it and everything but isnt turning on. I was looking for another harness as maybe mine is bad now or is missing something. Who knows right. It was working when I pulled it and was careful to remove it as I was gonna be using it again.
If anyone has any ideas on what it would be let me know as im out of them. Heres a engine bay pic of the wiring

Do you have 12 volts at the fan wire?
The older 1 wire systems had a seperate bolt on ground wire tang on the fan bolt.
If you have a good ground and 12volts at the fan wire then you have a bad fan.

That's exactly what he's missing, the little l shaped tab under a blower motor bolt w/ a ground wire.

So if I put a ground wire from one of the bolts that mounts the motor to the box to the firewall im good? I know there is no ground at all on the setup which is odd for sure.
I got 12V where the HVAC harness plugs into the dash harness.

yes sir, originally there should be a ground wire in the harness going to a grounf tab on one of the motor mounting screws

Re: AC delete box issue - not working
I looked at the harness before I put it in and there wasnt anything. Ill take a look at it over the wekend and put a ground wire on it and see what happens. Hopefully it will work as that eliminates one issue from my list of a few.
