Battery Keeps dying !

I had my car set for a week cus I was getting my carb rebuild . So when I put the new carb on the battery was dead. Well I jump it and it startes up good . When I get done running my car

It's 12.23 volts off
The next morning it's 11.45 volts
And I can barley start my car.
When I drive my car with windshield wipers, headlight and heater . When I'm idle in drive position the voltage gauge drops. But when I gas it goes to normal
Is this battery problems? I got a dura last gold battery 7 months ago.so I got lifetime warranty ??

I would look into your charging system. Put a volt meter to the battery with it running and have someone step on the gas and hold a steady RPM. Voltage should jump up to around 13.5-14 volts I believe (someone correct me if I'm wrong). You could also take the alternator to a local auto parts store and have them test it.

You could start by cleaning your battery cables, the ends that bolt onto the battery. Then clean the battery posts where those cables hook up to really well. You can use a wire brush and some sand paper to get it clean done to fresh lead. Then see what happens, and let us know. Is your car idling to low of RPM?

Re: Battery Keeps dying !

Autozone said I need to recharge my battery . And they couldn't test my alternator . So I went to orileys and they tested it in car. They said low regulation. They said voltage regulator need to be replace .

Autozone says its not the alternator . And won't warranty it out so I'm stuck in a hole right now.
