Whistling coming from the back

Hey guys I just got a very clean 89 RS Auto. Me and my wife just drove it from upstate NY to Atlanta. When I got home I noticed a high faint whistle coming from the back of the car, not running and no keys in it.

A few days later I was going to take it for a spin and the battery was dead. So I charged it and drove it for a couple days and all was well. Today I started digging into my eratic fuel guage by pulling the back seats out. It started again, could it be my fuel pump? and if so why especially with out it running or the keys even in it. Oh third gen masters send my in the right direction. Thanks!

Re: Whistling coming from the back

Is it possible that my fuel pump is running all the time and if so what would trigger that?

A defective oil pressure sender/switch can cause that problem.
