Dash Lights and shifter lights wont come on when driving

Dash Lights and shifter lights wont come on when driving
Ok so when i turn the key the check engine light will show but when the car is started none of the dash lights of the shifter lights will be on. Head lights work, radio works, dome lights work, pretty much everything except dash and shifter lights. Checked fuses dont see anything burned out there.
This is a pain to drive at night, I cant see how fast im going! any ideas?

You can test the dash portion of the SHIFT light by grounding, thru a 1 amp fuse, pin F of the “scanner” connector located under the dash.
If the bulb and associated connections are good the bulb will illuminate.
To diagnose the dash illumination lights make sure the dash dimmer control is set at the bright position, then using a voltmeter or test light (the type for testing for voltage, not a continuity tester) probe both sides of the INST LPS fuse.
If there is no power there check for power on the orange wire at the headlight switch.
Then check for power on the dark green wire at the headlight switch.
Is there power on both wires?
