The headlight on my 85 Trans Am won't go up. I put it up manually. I read in another thread that if I can hear the motor running it isn't the motor but possibly the gear is stripped. I can't seem to find a gear replacement for my year. Is this fix only applicable to fourth gens? If so, is buying a new motor the only fix?

Thanks JMD! I went to the site and the review gave me some good information to look into prior to buying the kit. I'm new to the fixing/renovating arena but I sure do love my 85.
