Computer Question
Computer Question
I have a 1990 Camaro RS which had a computerized 305 TPI engine. The computerized engine has been replaced with a non-computerized engine but the computer remains. My question is, can and is, the computer still doing anything? I have no check engine light. Has my computer been turned off? My speedometer also does not work. I was thinking about removing some unused wires in the engine compartment. I have no intention of going back to a computerized engine in the future. What would you do if you were me? I really need my speedometer to work and clean up the engine compartment of the unused wires.

Re: Computer Question
Is the SES bulb in place and good?
In your car the computer " should" be operating the speedo ( if the computer is powered up and working )
In consideration of a future owner that might want EFI , don't cut anything , just unplug what can be disconnected and roll up and hide the rest
