Camaro tachometer

My 91 Camaro RS tachometer is reading high. I heard that this is common problem for this model. Does anyone know if its easy fix and if there is DIY?

Thanks but I am from Europe so its a bit hard because it takes too much time to ship it to USA for a fix and then back to Europe. If it is simple fix and if there is DIY on this it would be very useful.

theres not really a DIY otherwise i'd do mine myself, its all in the electronic chip
