Corvette ecu/PROM into '88 camaro?

Forgive me if I missed it, but I already did a search and didnt find anything on this subject.

Is it possible to take an '89 Vette's ecu and prom and swap it into an 88 camaro? Both engines are 350 tpis.

If it is, will i notice a gain in power? Will it hurt my fuel economy?

Thanks

The ECU is fine, but the memcal will have VATS in it.

Both use the identical '165 ECM ( as do 305 TPI ) so no point in swapping that over.
Only the tune on the prom determines what it is set up for
