Painless wiring system

Someone told me about a painless wiring system for their Nova, it had written on the wires where they went to. Is there something like this for my 86 Camaro? Or some sort of whole system. Mine is so ratty, once I build a new motor for it I want to rewire it.

Any aftermarket harness you get will be generic to fit any GM chassis .Plenty out there a lot cheaper than PL

If you want to redo the ECM / engine wiring you will need a standalone engine harness .This one is for the 90 -92 MAP ECM
but similar harness available for your 86 - 89 MAF ECM

There is nothing available as a direct replacement for a stock 3rd Gen harness

Check out tpiparts.net

They make harnesses that are color matched to factory so that you can still reference the GM manuals. I've made two purchases from them and their products are high quality and factory in appearance. Further, their customer service is outstanding with very in-depth email responses to your questions.
