surging under load

Ok. So i'm at a lost as to what's going on. I'm having these slight surges under load. At idle, she idles perfectly. Under load its a jerky kinda feeling. I should also mention that my stereo also likes to shut it self off then turn on, and does that constantly. So I'm inclined to think the problem is linked.
As of today I replaced the battery, pos and neg cables, alternator, cap, rotor, plugs, wires and coil. These symptoms were there before I replaced these items... was hoping it was an alternator issue but wasn't. The other stuff was just due so i did it at the same time.
I'm looking for some suggestions as to where to look next.
Thanks guys

Re: surging under load

I have a similar problem particularly going up a mountain pass. I just replaced the fuel pump too. Same issue. Mine starts on a dime and idles well. Once in awhile at a stop I get a brief "miss" and it is normal again

Re: surging under load

A slight surge under load is usually a sign of running too lean.

Re: surging under load

Mine had no codes. Don't know about his car. I have a whole thread on this issue under "stumbles up pass".
