alternator gauge
alternator gauge
ok here is the problem.on my 92Z28,alternator gauge shows it charging, but when i kick on the ac,the gauge drops.it falls to 10 volts.if i drive like this too long, the battery drains down to the point stalling the car.i have checked and replaced the alt.no change in that.was told the compressor clutch coil was bad, replaced the whole compressor.still not fixed.was told today that the fuseable link could be bad so i did the jumper wire off the back of alt to battery,no change.so now i am lost with this.it all worked fine last year and this year the weather is too damn hot.i need help.anybody have this issue before?

Re: alternator gauge
I have two words for you[check grounds] every ground you see will need to taken apart and cleaned and scraped and put back together. Examples would be ground to chassis ground to motor ground to body ground to firewall. A lot a people forget the grounds.
