Mystery ignition switch wire?
Could use a quick reply on this... I'm in the middle of my 4th gen dash swap, using the full 4th gen harness adapted to the 3rd gen C100, C207 and C208. I have nearly everything figured out. Except one wire...
Does anyone know what the tan (I believe it's tan/black, need to look to make sure) wire in the black ignition switch connector is for? I'm hoping someone here knows so I don't have to hack apart the hacked-apart dash harness (don't worry, it's a spare harness I bought specifically to be cut up), any more than I already have, to fish it out. I can't seem to find it in the FSM, or online... The 4th gen diagrams list it as being for the low coolant indicator (2 wires in the same terminal, both yellow/black), one wire going to the instrument cluster, and the other going to the switch, but wouldn't the fact that the LCS goes to ground cause a serious issue?
