1982 lights
1982 lights
ok i could use a little help, ive got a 1940 Chevy that ive pulled the harness from a 1982 firebird. my problem is i have no lights (tail lights, brake, turn, headlights) . I've found the my red wire that supplies power to that row in the in the fuse panel. If i supply it with power with a jumped then everything works fine. So i would like to know if that wire should connect to wire alternator wire or should it be tied into the battery. I think it should good to the battery so that i would have lights when the key is off. thanks guys

Re: 1982 lights
I would think that that wire would run to the starter and get full time power there thru a fuseable link.

fastgm.com/wiring this is a great place for wiring 82-92. shows location and what the plug looks like if you look at the pdf in one of the folders
