Trunk light and electric trunk latch not getting power.

Finally got my car back together after 2 years and found the electric latch and trunk light are no longer getting power. I tested it with a multi-meter.

  • Is there a fuse to just those 2 things? Where is it located (which one exactly)?
  • Is there a common problem with power to that area of the car?
  • Problem with a ground that could cause just those 2 things to stop working?

You didn't tell us which of the two styles of pull-down motor used in 91 you have. I am assuming the early 91 style which is recognized by having a metal frame where it attaches to the car body. Unplug the red/white stripe wire from the blue wire and check that the red/white stripe wire is getting power. If not check the LID fuse.
