How should i wire this

I was taking my carb off yesterday and when i went to take the pigtail connector off the choke, it broke/craked. Would i be able to cut this green wire connected to the pig tail and buy a new pigtail thats connected to a wire and then just connect both.

Would that work ?

Yep. Solder the two wire ends together if you can, along with some heatshrink for insulation.
