Wiring harness swap question
My engine compartment caught fire a while back and I'm in the process of repairing the damage. The harness (88 v6 car) was completely ruined. I picked up another harness that I was told came from an 86 tpi. The problem is where it connects at the firewall, it seems to be different. I also have the part of the harness that runs under the dash, but not the fuse block. If I pull the dash, can I make this work?
Engine is a carbd 350. I just need the basics. Never touched the wiring before this.

Re: Wiring harness swap question
There will be changes from 86 to 88, but several of the circuits are located on the same pins through the years. You should not have to pull the dash wiring harness out, better to make the engine side of the C100 match the existing dash IMO.
You can find the C100 schematics for the 86 and the 88 here :
http://berlinetta.info/C100.htm
Print them out and check off all the circuits that are the same...... then focus on only the ones the need to be re-piined/spliced. Just about everything you will need for a 350 Carb to run will be @ C100.
