guages

Guys, I'm reading all over all the boards where owners are putting aftermarket guages in their cars. Is it possible after an engine swap for the factory guages to work and be accurate? Reason I'm asking is because I want my IROC to look close to factory and don't really like seeing guages placed along the dash.

Re: guages

It should work fine as long as you get everything grounded and hooked up again. If you want it exact without chance of reading being off I would recommend you swap over all your old sending units that you know work correctly. The reason is depending on where you got the new motor the senders could be bad or even working but replaced by over the counter parts. I've seen the correct replacement aftermarket sending units from say Auto Zone read very different up to 20-30 PSI (for oil) than the OEM ones.
