hvac mode selection issue..
hvac mode selection issue..
First of all, my hvac is not in default mode. The mode selection works for everything, except when you turn it off, it blows out of the floor vents. When you put it on max, it turns off. I dont believe I have any vac. leaks, as it works in other modes correctly. I pulled the control head out, and took the mode switch off of the top. It changes the modes fine, but still has the same problem. Am I looking at a bad switch? I cant align the switch to make it work right and am basically out of ideas on what else to test. Any ideas here?

Venting About His Vent
Using a voltmeter or test light (the type for testing for voltage, not a continuity tester) probe the brown wire at the Mode Selector
There are two brown wires one is input, one is output, so you might have to probe both.
When the Mode Selector is in the OFF position, is there power on the output?
If you still can’t tell which is the in or out, post both responses.
