Wiper motor question...
I have a '89 Firebird Formula 350. All stock. All matching numbers too. Even still has the VATS sticker in the window. I replaced the multifunction switch the other day. It had a fine wisp of smoke come out and its either the switch or the pule board making it smoke. Question...if I kept the stalk in for turn signals and cruise, can I wire a separate switch just for the wiper? Pulse boards are impossible to find even in a junkyard. So what do you do when there are no parts available for your car's wiper? Rig up a newer style wiper system?

If it smoked there will be evidence.
You can take a photo and post it for further diagnosis.

Re: Wiper motor question...
Have problem with the wiper transmission (arms). The wiper arms goes up 2 inches and go back. So my windshield is not wiped completely. I replaced the complete wiper motor but problem remains. Can some body help me getting out of this problem?
