sick of changing fuel pumps
have 88 formula 5.7 tpi just installed 3rd motor and fuel pump failed again. was wondering if could switch to inline style and what would be required to do so. think the base press. is around 43.5psi last pump was rated at 50. would i have to run the 2 pump setup with a 4-9psi by tank and the fuel filter accumulator next with the high press. inline by the firewall or would a single inline rated at 60-65psi be enough to run the injectors wired from the stock relay? would any mods of the hanger be required like a hose from the old pump location to the bottom of the tank?
any help would be greatly appreciated thanks!!!

Re: sick of changing fuel pumps
very doable-thought about doing that with mine in order to use a weldon aircraft fuel pump i like
(might still do it) When i first ran EFI on my car(converted from carb)i used an electric pump mounted close to where the original engine mounted pump was located-worked great with no hickups, but if front mounted main pump is used would be good to have a low pressure lift pump in the tank or in the rear at least to prevent chance of vapor lock.A lot of '80s german cars had a nice inline external bosch pump with enough capacity to feed a TPI nicely.
