Headlight Motor Flutter?

I have a 1991 GTA. When I turn the headlights on, they pop-up. Then one of them flutters up and down for a bit, and then it stops. What could be causing this problem?

Thanks for your help!

Re: Headlight Motor Flutter?

The busings inside the gear are bad. They were made of a hard gel material similar to a glue stick. Repair the headlights with a headlight repair kit using Delrin busihings and you'll be set for years to come. I sell several kits to repair this. TDS 207280 headlight repair kit consists of just the 3 bushings you'll need for one headlight motor. TDS 209280 deluxe headlight repair kit has 6 bushings, 2 side cover gaskets, 1 motor gasket, two screws & nuts (it is common to snap off the heads of the screws attaching the motor to the headlight actuator housing) and a packet of synthetic grease. Both kits include detailed instructions.
