What is this plug? i thinks its for canister purge or something *pic*

In some schematics, i found that the green/ylw is for canister purge valve. but im in the middle of a swap to my van, so idk if i even have this canister and might need to splice it in somewhere else? any advice is much appreciated.

Yes, that would be for the canister purge solenoid. Yours may have a round pin-type plug instead of the connector you have there.

What color is the other wire? That MAY be an EGR solenoid.

not sure. this is the one that is supposed to have a piece of foam/filter where the hole is near the metal clips.

do you still have the emission diagram on the g20 ? the evap purge would have been on top of the ccp or on the manifold map bracket.

ccp = charcoal canister purge. You van may not use a ccp because of the gvw not positive but it would hook to the tbi port A.

just looked at the schematic of the 747 ecm and do not see control of the solenoid. This must be controlled bye using a ported vacuum port or tvs.

Re: What is this plug? i thinks its for canister purge or something *pic*

so i wired everything except a couple wires that idk what are for. ppl/white from the fuse block, 2 dark brown wires, an extra pink with about 2v's, extra orange with 3v's.
i go to start it and it cranks and almost fired. i checked the ses and jumped the terminals and no code was present. just kept flashing code 12. but my batter began to die so i couldnt keep trying.

so what should i do with this plug? jump it/connect it to complete a circuit?

doesnt the ecm need a signal from a canister purge for emissions?

Thanks

If you have the old style canister, you can leave it unplugged and use a ported vacuum source to operate the purge valve.

DO NOT DIRECTLY JUMP THE WIRE OR YOU WILL FRY THE DRIVER IN THE ECM!

ok i wont jump it. so my stock emission purge/pcv hosing should plug into the purge valve and i can disregard the plug?
thanks

The port on the tb that gets used on tpi is manifold vacuum
Port A is the only ported vacuum you have you can delete these wires or wrap them up to prevent shorting and ecm damage.

And then run the large line from its source straight to the canister while omitting the purge solenoid on the top of it (bottom port of the valve, under the ported vac hose, IIRC).

I think all you need to do is run the old hose that went to the tbi port A to the tpi throttlebody port A. I dont recall tbi trucks or vans having any other hose going to the engine. You might want to leave the pigtail intact incase Im incorrect and disconnect F7 at the ecm.
