Transmission: 700R4
92 RS Camaro Speedometer
I've a 92 camaro that was converted from stick to automatic transmission. The speedometer does not work. I recently removed the automatic transmission for overhaul. There is an electric wire from the left side of the transmission. I don't know whether a stick transmission's speedometer will work with a automatic transmission? All inputs are welcome.

Speed Reading
Whoever converted it forgot to hook up the sensor.
The wire you see needs to go to the Vehicle Speed Sensor or VSS.
If you new trans has a 2000 Pulses Per Mile or PPM, the speedo should work correctly.
