ok i know there is topics on this and believe me i have been searching but cant find the exact answer. car was origanaly a 305 tbi t5. swapped to carb and removed alot. the only thing i cant get to work is the fuel gauge. does it need the computer?(removed it). if not can i hard wire it from the sending unit straight to the cluster? the guage worked before swap but i did mess with wires when dissconecting in tank pump and setting up my new holley pump out side the tank. any info would be awsome thanks guys, its really irritating running out of gas!! please help

The gage does not need the “computer”.

Apparently a wire became disconnected during the swap.

Use an ohmmeter to see if the
purple wire from the tank connector is still connected to the dash connector located at the back of the IP.

Then make sure you didn’t disconnect the ground at the tank connector.

Re: Gage Rage

You did plug the harness back in when you reinstalled tank didnt you. The one right above he rear end. Did the same swap. No computer needed.
