They are not on the same fuse, but since they are all in the same area I would be looking for a broken ground.

I would check the bulb in the third brake light also. The two problems my not be connected. I would also check the switch to the rear defrost to se if you have power to it. I also agree that it could be a ground problem. Hope you find the problem.

Check the ground wire between the hatch connector in the tail panel and the connection on the pulldown bracket for the 3rd brake light.
And the other ground wire is on the passenger's side behind the sail trim.
The HMSL is on one fuse and the defog is on another.

The three items you mentioned DO have a commonality RE fuses.
Those fuses get their power from the same input.
Using a voltmeter or test light (the type for testing for voltage, not a continuity tester) probe the back of the fuse block where those fuses are connected.
Is there power there?
Do your headlights work?
(If you haven’t driven at nite for a while you of course wouldn’t have needed them.)
If NO two the above two, you have a bad Fusible Link which is located at the Starter Solenoid.
