Rear defroster problems

My rear defroster has power but it does not defrost. I have checked for power at the plug where it connects to the hatch supports but after that point it no longer has power. im not sure if this is a grounding issue somewhere on the hatch or if it is shorting somehow. Any ideas as to what might be causing this?

Re: Rear defroster problems

Are you sure the wires on the defroster itself arent broke? I know it can be hard to see but it doesnt take much to mess one up

Re: Rear defroster problems

Ive looked at them but even if one was broken it should still work fine except for that line.
