lsx swap cluster upgrade
Im doing a lsx swap in my 85 Z28 with a PSI 4 wire stand alone wire harness. I was wondering if i swap my gauge cluster with a 90-92 cluster will all the gauges work properly? I would love to keep every thing looking factory and clean. If this question was already post please post the link. thanx

The 90+ cluster is shaped differently than earlier models, so some fairly extensive modification would be required to make the cluster fit your 85.

It is. I changed my 89 to 90-92 style and it was a nightmare. The carriers are different and I had to make metal brackets to make the 90-92 dash carrier fit. You have to change columns and this means air bags which means three air bag sensors. The air bag works on my car. Changed to the 730 ECM as well. Not a mod for the faint of heart. I had to change every harnesss except the window/lock harness and A/C harness. Every other wire in the car is different.
