No power to keyed circuits
After changing out my heater core I forgot to hook up the wire to the electric chock (powered when engine is running only). I stupidly managed to ground it with the engine running. It arced a couple of times and the engine stopped.
I now have power to any of the "always hot" circuits but nothing to any keyed accessories. All fuses and breakers are good.
Any ideas as to where I should start??
Thanks,
Jon

Re: No power to keyed circuits
Can't think of where there are any fusible links? There's nothing in the engine bay off the battery or anything.
Anything under the dash I can look for?
Thanks ,
Jon

Re: No power to keyed circuits
I thought the ignition switch controls the accessory power and goes over to the fuse box/

Thanks for the diagram.
Weird thing, turned the key and got accessory power for a few seconds. Then nothing. Done this a couple of times.
Possibly a short in the ignition causing one of the two breakers in the fuse box to open? Got interrupted so I'll have to get back to it tomorrow.

That's what I'm thinking at the moment. Not sure if it wouldn't be easier to change the whole column rather than the switch. Lol.
I called GM and they still list the switch for $26.00 so at least it's available if that's what it turns out to be.

Re: No power to keyed circuits
getting to the connector is not easy just drop the column. You do need to adjust the switch.
