Analog to Digital Cluster

Hello everyone.
Today I will be picking up a digital cluster from an '88 Trans Am to convert my analog on my 1989 Firebird. I won't tackle the whole project today, but I was wondering if I could get some help as I have no idea how to do it properly.
I understand that I need the wiring harness and various sensors so that the gauges can read correctly.

A few things I am unsure of:
Will the cluster even fit correctly if switched from analog?
Do I need more than just the sensors and harness to make it work properly? Where can I purchase all of these?
Does anyone have the digital wiring diagram from the 88 Trans Am?
I understand that this will be a difficult and time consuming transformation, and I will start the project when I repair my transmission. But all the help I can get to know everything beforehand would be much appreciated.

Hey! how's the progress going on your swap? I started a thread of mine on the interior section if it's any help for you

Re: Analog to Digital Cluster

In order to get all the functions to work you need the entire body harness from the car. There are sensors in the lights, radiator, and wiper fluid bottles that are unique to the digital dash cars.

It's at a halt for now until I find the body harness. I found out the cluster is actually from an 86, so either I need to find a harness for that particular year, or I can get away with using the harness from an 88. Hopefully I will be able to complete the project by spring, either way.
I'll head on over to your thread though!
