i have a 1989 z28 and i had to unhook my alternator to move the wire to replace my header gasket and now that its hooked back up its not charging my battery anymore my question is where do the wires go coming from it and if anyone has a diagram for it so i can rewire it or i might just wire it straight to the battery if it wont mess it up

The heavier red wire goes from a Fusible Link, to the positive stud, and should have power at all times.
The thinner red wire goes from a different Fusible Link, to terminal S (the sensing circuit) and should have power at all times.
The brown wire goes to terminal F (the turn-on input) from the FAN fuse, and should have power when the key is in the RUN position.
