electric fans wiring
electric fans wiring
I have an 87 GTA I purchased two years ago my issue is the person that owned it before me bypassed the electric radiator fan so that everytime you start the car the fans turn on automatically he explained he did this because the car was heating up it seems that he had the wrong rad in place anyone have any idea on how to rewire this so that the fans will only kick on when required
Thanks
Thanks

Re: electric fans wiring
If he did it the most common way by just grounding the fan relay permanently then all it would require is disconnecting the ground wire and running the wire from the relay back
to a (working) fan switch in the head.
Re: electric fans wiring
Any idea on where the relay is located? Thanks
You will need to investigate how the mod was done before you can fix it
