Hatch Motor
Hatch Motor
Hello all, I got my 87 Camaro a couple years ago from a friend of my dad's and it has sat in my garage untouched until recently. I realize this is a long post, but I really am eager to get my car going and finished and it relies on how much help I can get from this awesome community, so please bear with me! We have finally begun to really work on and put money into my car, and are almost finished. I'm really excited to get it done, have my first car and be able to drive to school my senior year even though it is almost over. Anyways, we are replacing the fuel pump this weekend which will hopefully get it to run properly. I have begun to put the plastic in around the trunk since I recently bought the clips necessary to keep the pieces on, and I realized I wasn't ready because my hatch motor is not installed correctly. I have searched and searched on the forums, but I need visuals because I am no expert in this field. I have taken very clear and specific pictures so I can get very clear and specific help. I will imbed them below. I just need to know what each wire does and where it needs to go, as well as which wires I may be missing. Thanks for any help you can provide.

I realize the these two pictures are ground wires, just need to know which screw they go behind.

Re: Hatch Motor
My 86 TA happens to be apart atm - here's a couple pics, might help you:

Your pic 4 is the hatch release solenoid.
Your pics 5,6 are the striker switch, mounted at the rear of the hook grab, shown in my second pic.
Your pics 7,8 are the connection to the third brake light connector plate, on the rear panel plastic.
