Did a dash swap now car won't start (video of problem inside) please help!
Hi all, I'm just about finished up on my analog to digital dash swap (digi dash was from an 88) on my 89 Trans Am. My car was originally VATS enabled so it had the wire going from the steering column to detect the resistance and it was programmed in the ECM. This digital dash does not appear to be VATS enabled so what I did was buy a resistor kit and matched my resistance to the steering column wire according to my key resistance and had a chip made that bypassed VATS so all should be good but.....the car still won't start. basically when I press the clutch (T5) and turn the key everything on the dash dies expect for the parking brake light. I can hear a slight click from somewhere on the passenger side when the key is turned. I have a video here to show you the exact problem: http://tinypic.com/r/aktwfc/5 if you guys can help me solve this problem I'll be forever grateful
