Short story is my wiring is terrible and I am redoing it simpler.

I am trying to just do what the car needs to run, leave the lights heater ect. alone because that is wired up fine as far as I know.

The engine now has an edelbrock 600 on it

What all will I need to wire, Distributer (stock hei) Alternator and starter?

Will the car run with just those hooked up, or does the computer control more than I know?

And does anyone have any tips as the where to run the wires, what gauge ones to use ect? Electronics is not my strong point so I am trying to keep it simple
