Hey all, got an 82 Z28 Indy replica. The wipers will not work. I hear the click of the relay when i turn the switch. but nothing happens. All the wires are hooked up, and its a brand new wiper motor.

Before i replaced the wiper the motor it did the same thing. So obviously i wasted my money.

Also there is large lack of help for the 82 model year. Please help. this is my everyday driver for now.

 

Are you sure the arm at the back of the wiper assembly was re-connected correctly to the wiper transmission ?? It's possible to get the wiper transmission jammed when installing the motor. it could have been installed wrong - then you installed another motor the same way it was,.... wrong. ( anything is possible ! )

I'd disconnect the wiper motor arm and then try the switch. I'd also manually cycle the wiper arms while it's apart to be sure they are not jammed somehow.
