rear hatch not opening

Car: 1985 camaro berlinetta
Engine: carb'd lg4 305
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 3.08's sonn to be 3.73's
rear hatch not opening
i just got my first third gen yesterday and the keyhole in the trunk is ripped out and the relese switch is not working yet it shows on the digital dash(i have a berlinetta) that the rear hatch is open. but i i cant crawl to the back becouse there are 2 12" subs ill post a picture later but i wanna get back there so any help would be great thanks.
