Broken wire from the headlights switch - where does it go?
So I pulled my dash apart yesterday, removed the instrument cluster & removed my headlight switch. As I was playing with the dash wires, I found a broken end of a wire. I traced it to the headlight switch.
See the picture Broken Wire 1. There are two brown wires coming out of the same terminal on the headlight switch plug. One goes back into the dash to the left, the other is broken about an inch from where it went into connecter. In the background, you can see the other part of the wire, it is part of two wires that were connector. I can't tell if this broken wire is black with an orange tracer (I think it is), or if it's just black and some of the orange from the attached wire came off. The second picture shows this part of the wire a little better.
I think this is a ground wire but I'm not sure - can someone help me?
