Unknown Terminal
Okay so I've been rewiring my 1985 z28 and I've came across a few wires with terminals that I cannot find. The wires are to my tail lights and go through a connector inside the trunk. My lead wires use a male blade terminal but them the feed wires have this weird female terminal. I have a picture of the terminal and another of the connector piece. I've searched multiple supply houses to find this but can't. Anyone know who sells these?

Re: Unknown Terminal

I put the photo on photobucket. I'm not sure how else to put a picture in because you need to have a link from a website you can't just upload a photo.

Scroll to the bottom and click *Go Advanced*, Scroll down to *Additional Options*, See Attach Files/Manage Attachments.
This is how you upload from your PC to TGO directly.
P.S. I have no clue what that goes to.

Re: Unknown Terminal
This is the connector it goes into located in the trunk. Wires are lh turn, rh turn, brake light, daytime running light, and park light. Just can't find the stupid terminal. Perhaps there's a way to do away with this connector? I don't really see why it's necessary anyway

Re: Unknown Terminal
Okay so I still haven't been able to find this type of terminal anywhere. I've tried Delphi's catalog, Mouser electronics, and random other forums but still no answer. Progressing through my wiring process I have also found other connectors with the same female terminals. Two of which connect into the steering column (one is for rear and front lights, the other I haven't figured out yet) If it's any help I believe all the male terminals for these connectors are the same size. They're something like 3.5mm blade terminals. I uploaded a picture of a male terminal I'm using and a picture of the exterior light connector with the unknown female connector. If anyone knows of a different female connector that might work and would fit into these connectors, that would be helpful too!

Re: Unknown Terminal
No problem. If you ever need help with connectors or terminals let me know. I am an automotive electrician and have access to just about all gm connectors.
