Think I fried ECM?
Here I go with yet another problem with my car
Sorry for all the recent questions.
So the problem arose when I set about re wiring my 02 sensor wire, i replaced it (the sensor) and never got the voltage swing required, setting off the MIL and not allowing closd loop. I ran a fresh wire to pin D7 from the sensor, and afresh chassis ground from d6 so I knew for a fact there were no breaks in the circuit. Still recorded no voltage swing, the ground is good because it is shared with my fan toggle switch which operates fine. During testing of the 02 wire just now, while the car was running, my drop light hook caught the 02 ground and pulled it out and my car started running like crap, with the MIL dimly flickering very fast when key is on, engine running or off. I Still get a code 12 which I hope is a good sign, but I also get 51 and 53. I can't see any over voltage on my gauges or by my meter, so I guess the ground coming undone fried the PROM/ECM? I reset the ecm before I pulled the codes and drove it about 20 miles after and the whole time the MIL was flickering like that. I get no "bounce" when key is on, it illuminates, goes off, then starts the flickering. Could that ground coming undone really have fried my ECM? Could I fix it or is my car being parked until I can get a new one?

Re: Think I fried ECM?
Think I may have answered my own question after looking at a wire diagram closer
Am i correct that pin D6 is a main ECM ground? I guess that would certainly short it if it got disconnected with the car running... Would finding a different/better ground have a shot at fixing it or is it toast? The ECM is only about 2 months old, maybe I can try and get it under warranty? it's a re-man as it is...
