Fan Relay...Green and brown Wire

So on my '84, the green wire for the fan relay runs down into a four pronged connector which goes...to the waterneck I think. My engine swap is losing this water neck and going with a regular one without that wire connecter. The green wire looks like it comes off of its prong and then runs to the fan switch in the block. Can I bypass this connecter by running the green wire straight from the relay to the fan switch?

Second, the brown wire coming off the fan relay joins a connecter that attaches it to the brown wire off of the fuel pump relay, which then runs to the OPSU. I'm losing the fuel pump relay and letting the OPSU run the fuel pump. Will this cause issues for the fan relay?

Thanks guys

Re: Fan Relay...Green and brown Wire

Alright well I figured out the green wire issue. In case anyone else happens upon a similar problem, the green wire runs to the 4 prong connecter, which runs to the AC, not gooseneck. It's wired that way so if the AC is turned on, the fan automatically goes on, but if the AC isn't on, the fan relay will be the source of the fan coming on.

Sorry for answering my own question guys, I tore the motor out without labeling things (stupid stupid) and now I'm trying to piece together what wiring I need as I go along.

Getting tired of answering my wiring questions lol? To be perfectly honest, I went to austin third gen or whatever that site is and looked at the wiring diagrams. I had trouble following them though.

At this point I'm thinking I know most of what I need, most of the stuff is falling into place, though I still have the odd question here and there.
