Painless Rewire?
So here is the deal, I have an 84 Trans Am. As far as I can tell it was originally a 305HO/5spd car. When I got it, it had a 350 with a HORRIBLE dual carb setup that was thrown together with random nuts, bolts, and zipties. Among other things, the engine harness is hacked beyond repair and the interior harness isn't much better.
So Im planning on using the Painless 10101 universal 12 circuit harness as a replacement, maybe the 10102 since its 18 circuit if I want to go with an electric fuel pump in the future.

Does/Has anyone here used this harness on their car as a replacement? Would anything else be needed?
I don't have emissions and the build isn't going to be a resto, so Im basically needing just what the car needs for lighting, starting, charging, etc. From my research, these harness' sound like they are exactly what I need, but I would like the input from someone who has installed one one their car before.

Re: Painless Rewire?
I've never used thier kit,..... I ALWAYS prefer to work with factory wiring myself. I figured that you might be interested to know that I've got a factory 84 TA Carb engne harness available if your interested. About as Plug-&-Play as you can get & a bit cheaper than an aftermarket set-up you've got to re-work to fit properly.
If your interested, send me a PM for details.

Most universal harnesses are set up for GM components so they are PnP on the column connector and headlight switch
