Driving lights converted help
Hi so here's my situation. I did a motor swap from an 91 trans am to a 85 trans am. I ripped out the 85 harness and used the 91. I only drove the 91 once or twice and if I can remember the headlights would flip open when you start the car, my guess from the daytime lights bylaw in 89 I believe. Now that it's on the 85 is there anyway to bypass that so they don't flip up automatically?
I also noticed that the 85 motors has a third prong that is dark blue when the 91 is only a 2 prong. Does anyone know why that is? I have put the 91 motors on the headlight assembly for now until I get the car finished but in no way do I want those lights to flip up when I'm driving in the daytime. Yuk! If anyone knows more about this that would be greatly apreciated!!!

If you completely swapped the harnesses with fuse block, the 91 fuse block should have a DRL Fuse.
Remove that fuse to see if it removes the problem.
A further step is to disconnect the red wire with a White stripe at the DRL module.
The module is located behind the left side of the dash.
The General switched from dual winding motors to single winding.
