Not a big deal, but I now have the instrument cluster out of the car - a 1982 T/A - and would like to correct the problem. Not sure where I should begin troubleshooting. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks,

I just worked on this myself,....

Your Audio Alarm is probably dead. Get in the car, close the door and turn your key all the way to RUN ( not START ). If the audio alarm doesn't sound off than that's almost certainly why the dash light isn't working; as long as the bulb, cluster circuit board and the wiring are OK !
The Audio Alarm is mounted to the convienience center under the drivers side of the dash to the right of the column.

Thanks - fortunately (or unfortunately) the audio alarm is working . . . . Bulb is fine, so I probably need to figure out how to diagnose a problem with the wiring, circuit board, or the connection to the board.
