Carbed 1991 Camaro, Computer removel questions

I have a 1991 Camaro RS, I put a carbed 383ci in it a few years ago and I am trying to clean out some of the wiring.

Here's my setup:
No a/c
Carb with Holley electric fuel pump wired independently
Msd ignition box and distributor
No factory gauges are being used
Stock year 700r4 tranny with a non lockup convertor
aftermarket one wire alternator

My question is can I just remove the computer and all wiring leading to it or is there something it still does? I do understand I will have to bypass the VATS but I have already researched how to do that but could not find much on the 90-92's as far as just taking everything computer related out.

Thanks in advance for any help, Dave

The speedo still needs the computer to process the output from the VSS in the trans. It also controls the radiator fan, unless you already have it on a manual switch or an aftermarket fan switch. I didn't see that mentioned in your original post.

Sorry I forgot to mention I do have aftermarket fans wired to a switch, and my speedometer hasn't worked in years so I'm going to put in an Autometer gps unit and get rid of the factory cluster.
