Sending unit gas gage
I have an 82 Z28 Camaro that I'm putting a new gas tank in. The new tank has bungs welded in so that I can run an 8 an fuel line to a regulator. The only line on the sending unit I'll be using is one for the return as I'll be using an external fuel pump with a return style system. The electrical part on the old sending unit for the fuel gage works but is a rusty POS and I don't want to use it. My quetion is this. Is the electrical part on a 85-92 sending unit the same amount of ohms and will it operate my fuel gage correctly. I'm thinking of buying a new one but want to make sure it'll work right. Anyone have any experience with this?

It is but still test it to make sure it’s good before taking the time to install it.
