No Start?

Hey I have an 1988 firebird orginally was 305 tbi with automatic trans.

I pulled the 305 and installed a 350 v8 switched everything over from tbi to carb. I had the car starting with the turn of a key. It ran great EXCEPT the trans wasnt engauging.....

So i pulled the transmission out. Turns out I didnt have the torque convertor in on all the splines. So i got that all fixed up and reinstalled everything. Go to flip the key n start it..... nothin.... all the lights came on like normal the fuel pump engauged n primed ec. The only thing was the starter, it didnt click or anything.

I have the orange wires and the positive power on the big terminal on the starter and the purple on the small one. I even accidentially jumped the starter and it kicked on n rolled the engine over. I checked aswell i do have constant power on batt side...

I do not have vats.... iv only got an alarm (little red blinky light) and its only an 88 not 89+

I cannot for the life of me figure out why the ignition is not engauging the starter!?!?!

I also have my rad fan hooked up to the ignition so when you start the car they come on but the key has to be in start not that first click of the key. they come on when u start it. They are turning on when i turn the key to start as there supposed too. So i know the ignition is working. The fans were wired n working aswell when i had the engine running before i had to take the trans out again.

Re: No Start?

UPDATE: After Messing around. I checked the connectors on the transmission checked the wiring on the starter. After that I pulled out all my fuses in the fuse panel and checked them. All was fine still not starting. So Just for giggles I put the shifter thru each gear position one by one n turning the key. NOTIHNG. So i was a bit fed up, I then slammed the shifter up into park n decided Il turn the key once more.... and it started!

So then after I decided I was going to tie a few lose ends up, Etch my new dipstick and top up the trans oil and engine oil ec. Whent back to fire it up, NOTHING AGAIN! So Im back to No Start No Click NOTHING from the starter...

IDEAS?
