Long time no see.

Hello 3rd Gen. Been a while since I've been on these boards. Since I've never been much for fluff I'll get straight to the point.

I have an 87 Trans Am with a headlight issue. I've searched the boards for the past couple days trying to find a solution based on others experiences. Admittedly my search-fu may be lacking, but most of what I found was rebuild the motors, but I don't think that's my issue.

The Green and Gray wires coming to the headlight motors both should have power coming to the headlight motors yes? When the lights are off I have power to the green wire and not the gray. When the lights are switched on the exact opposite is true. The lights do not come up, but they do go down of their own accord. Yesterday the lights would come up fine but the drivers side motor would rotate after the lights were up or down for a limited amount of time (10-15 seconds)

The only thing that has changed between now and then is I washed the car.

Based on my reading here I tested the plug coming into the headlight control module and got two hots and two grounds. Coming out of the module to the headlights I got nothing from the tabs where the motor wiring would plug in.

Does that mean I did something wrong or that I need a new module?

I'm at a loss at the moment.

Re: Long time no see.

::UPDATE::

Lights now work like they did yesterday. They go up like they are supposed to, and still when the drivers side goes down it (the motor) spins for 10 or so seconds. But NOW my electric fan doesn't work.

SOOOOO guess what I'll be doing tomorrow after work. Figuring out how to jack the front of this low *** car so I can get under the nose and see what I can see. I may even be taking off the front of the car to expose EVERYTHING... I have a feeling I'll be chasing down wiring hacks for a bit, but am determined to make this right,

Just to see if I can drum up some interest I'll post the pics from my gallery.
